1980s Italian Nason & Toso white and black murano glass chess set on red and gold board. A very rare vintage Italian chess game of modern design by Ermanno Nason for Cesare Toso. The detailed chess pieces are molded in white frosted and black Murano Art glass, the blown glass board is in translucent red hand decorated with squares in pure gold leaf, raised on an unusual organic tripod base in blown light blue azure Murano glass. The piece is signed on the base.
