A striking pair of 19th century French Empire in the Egyptian Revival style side tables. They are characterized by a three tapered columns with bronze classical female figural masks raising a shallow apron with Carrera marble tops. The columns rest over beautiful carved feet bronze feet with sandals resting on wood plinths over a mahogany base. The craftsmanship is impeccable, first apparent in the fine construction by the timbers chosen both as veneer and solid mahogany are simply exceptional, the pleasing rays of the grain are of top quality and perfectly augment the very finely chiseled bronze mounts.
